Paul Parsons
Assistant Professor

Paul Parsons is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University. He holds a PhD in computer science, with a focus on human-computer interaction and information visualization, from the University of Western Ontario. He also holds a BS in computing and cognitive science from Queen’s University.

Ya-Hsin Hung
PhD Student

Ya-Hsin (pronounced Ya-Sin) Hung is a PhD student in Industrial Engineering (Human Factors track) at Purdue, working with Dr. Steven Landry and Dr. Paul Parsons. Her research focuses on assessing emotional engagement with data visualizations, and user experience (UX) evaluation techniques in general.

Ali Baigelenov
PhD Student

Ali is a PhD student in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, working with Dr. Paul Parsons. His research interests include information visualization, cognition, user experience, and education.

Xiao Lei
MS Student

Xiao Lei is a Master student in Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue, working with Dr. Vetria Byrd and Dr. Paul Parsons. His research interests include real-time rendering, simulation, augmented reality, and game engineering.

Myeonghan Ryu
MS Student

Myeonghan Ryu is a Master’s student in Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue, working with Dr. Paul Parsons. His research interests include information visualization, cognition, personal informatics, and user experience.

Ian Carr

Ian Carr is an undergraduate student in UX Design at Purdue Polytechnic Institute. Before transferring to Purdue, he spent two years at Ivy Tech Community College as a Computer Science student. Ian specializes in Visual Design and is pursuing a minor in Psychology.

Erica Chadwell

Erica Chadwell is an undergraduate junior in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Psychology. Her areas of interest include human factors, data visualization, and operations research.

Connor Schrank

Connor Schrank is an undergraduate junior in UX Design with a minor in Film & Video Studies. His areas of interest include interactive design, data visualization, and user research.
