Paul Parsons is an Associate Professor in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University. He holds a PhD in computer science, with a focus on human-computer interaction and information visualization, from the University of Western Ontario. He also holds a BS in computing and cognitive science from Queen’s University.
Ya-Hsin (pronounced Ya-Sin) is a postdoctoral scholar in psychological sciences, working primarily with Dr. Robert Proctor, Dr. Erin Hennes, and Dr. Sean Lane. She completed her PhD at Purdue in Industrial Engineering (Human Factors track) in 2019, co-advised by Dr. Steven Landry and Dr. Paul Parsons. Her research focuses on assessing emotional engagement with data visualizations, and user experience (UX) evaluation techniques in general.
Ali is a PhD student in the Purdue Polytechnic Institute, working with Dr. Paul Parsons. His research interests include information visualization, cognition, user experience, and education.
Zixu is a PhD student studying information visualization, human factors, and cognitive engineering. He has a MS degree in industrial engineering from Purdue and a BS in aeronautical engineering from Beihang University. He is currently working on the Resilient Extraterrestrial Habitats Project.
Prakash is a PhD student in the Polytechnic Institute at Purdue, working with Dr. Paul Parsons. He has completed his undergrad in Design from IIT Guwahati and his MS from Purdue in User Experience Design. His research interests lie in Information Visualization and User Experience Design.
Raza is a final year master’s student specializing in UX design at the Purdue Polytechnic institute, working with Dr. Paul Parsons. His interests include user experience, design systems, and product management. Raza also holds a bachelors degree in computer science from the Lahore University of Management Sciences.
Ishaan Dandia is a sophomore studying User Experience Design and pursuing a double minor in Psychology and Communications. He hopes to specialize in visual design, web development, and product management. Ishaan is working on the Science Gateways Project.
Jackson joins the DVC Lab while pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in UX Design. Before joining the DVC Research Team, he completed work as a Purdue Resident Assistant, Undergrad Teaching Assistant, and Photographer. His interest lies in improving his technical skills, problem-solving, and networking. He is currently working on the NSF Mental Models Project
